The family of Aryeh Leibish Teitelbaum, victim of the Mumbai terrorist attack, requested Monday that his body not be used as part of any official Israeli ceremony. Teitelbaum was a member of the ultra orthodox Toldot Avraham Yitzchak chassidic sect that does not recognize the legitimacy of the State of Israel.
Teitelbaum’s family requested that his body not participate in the official State ceremony expected upon the arrival of the victims' bodies to Israel. They also requested that his coffin not be draped in an Israeli flag.
