      New Poll: Likud Gains Ground

In a poll published Monday in the Yisrael Hayom newspaper Likud increased its lead over the other parties. The poll gave 35 mandates to Likud and only 24 to Kadima. Labor was left with only 8 mandates.  In the same poll last week, Likud received 33 mandates, Kadima 26, and Labor 11.

The new poll also found Yisrael Beiteinu, Shas, and the Arab parties with 10 mandates each. Meretz received 7 mandates while the Jewish Home and United Torah Judaism received 5 mandates. The Green party and the Pensioner’s Party both received 2 mandates.
