The dry weather since mid-November will continue at least for another week, according to meteorologists, and the longer-term forecast is not optimistic for much-needed rain. Daytime temperatures will rise slowly every day this week, reaching a peak on Friday of 24 (75 F) in Jerusalem and 28 (82 F) in Tel Aviv and Be'er Sheva and 31 (88 F) in Eilat.
It will be chilly at night, dipping to near zero on the Hermon mountains Sunday and Monday nights, nine degrees (48 F) in Jerusalem, 14 (57 F) in Tel Aviv and 12 (54 F) in Be'er Sheva.
