Mikveh Israel, the country's long-time center for education in farming, is going environmental. Agriculture Minister Shalom Simchon (Labor) met with Mikveh Israel officials who are preparing for the changeover in polices.

Advanced cow and chicken barns will be built according "green" standards. Mikveh Israel began as a farm school but developed into an entire community that covers 750 of acres and houses approximately 1,500 students.
