Light rain that is falling from northern Israel to the northern Negev Friday morning is expected to end during the day, and no more precipitation is forecast at least until the middle of next week. Fears are growing that Israel is facing a fifth straight year of below average rainfall.
High temperatures on Friday will range from 17 to 22 (63-72 F) in urban centers and will rise slightly on the Sabbath. Spring-like weather is expected Sunday and Monday, with the thermometer reaching 23 (73 F) in Jerusalem and 25 (77 F) in Tel Aviv, Be'er Sheva, Ariel and communities in Judea and Samaria.
