A Tel Aviv man is suing the city for failing to provide him benefits following the death of his partner, a municipal worker. The man says the two were in a long-term homosexual relationship, which should be recognized by the city.

The claimant says he proved that he and his partner shared an apartment and a bank account and were together for years, yet his claim was rejected, while similar claims from surviving heterosexual partners were accepted.
