Kiryat Shmoneh police arrested four farmers from the Upper Galilee region Monday night on suspicion of breaking into the Agmon Hula (Hula Reeds) tourist area with their cars and endangering visitors to the site.

The farmers were protesting what they say is the refusal by local authorities to recognize damage caused to their crops by migratory birds that make their nests in the Hula Valley Nature Reserve.
