(IsraelNN.com) National Union Knesset Member Uri Ariel charged Sunday that Livni is the last one to say anything about education in light of her request for a sexual offender to remain in the Kadima party. He was responding to Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni’s remarks against Shas spiritual Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who mentioned in his weekly Saturday evening sermon that teachers who do not inculcate Sabbath and Jewish holidays to their students are jackasses.

MK Ariel added, “She has no shame; she speaks about education when only yesterday, she sat with Chaim Ramon, who was convicted of sexual offenses, and she asked that he remain in the Kadima leadership. Is this Mrs. Livni’s educational message to students of Israel?”

Education Minister Yuli Tamir (Labor) also censured Rabbi Yosef.
