      Economic Crisis Wilts Flower Exports


      The global economic crisis has cut the forecast for exports of Israeli flowers to Europe, and prices are plummeting. One air freight company has lowered its charges to flower exporters in order to encourage exports.

      The flower industry depends on the upcoming Christian holidays for a large portion of its exports, and exporters are suffering from lower prices for flowers and a drop in the Euro currency.
