Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit is working to revoke former Member of Knesset Azmi Bishara's citizenship, according to Maariv. He has asked Shin Bet head Yuval Diskin and Attorney General Menachem Mazuz to give their professional opinions on the subject.
Bishara fled the country last year after an investigation indicated that he had provided Hizbullah agents with classified information during the Second Lebanon War, and has since been residing in Arab states hostile to Israel. He continues to receive the generous severance package provided to former MKs.
