(IsraelNN.com) President Shimon Peres met with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband on Thursday to discuss Miliband's recent meetings with Middle East leaders. During the meeting Peres protested threats against senior IDF officers who visit Britain. Several officers have been threatened with arrest by activists seeking to charge them with war crimes.

"Israel is a peace-loving country and her army is ethical and makes supreme efforts not to hurt the innocent,” Peres told Miliband. “Israeli army officers operate according to the highest moral code and there is no reason Britain should treat them differently."
