(IsraelNN.com) President Shimon Peres is this hour receiving an honorary knighthood from Britain's Queen Elizabeth II. It is an honor bestowed on civilians who are non-subjects of the British realm.
Peres thus joins the limited ranks of former U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr., founder of Microsoft Bill Gates, and U2 soloist Bono.
