Hamas has expanded its media empire with the launch of the Al Quds satellite television channel, its second venture following the Al Aqsa channel. Al Quds went on the air last week with a broadcast of prayers at the Al Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount.

It followed with a short move of the Arab claim of the "right of return," referring to millions of foreign Arabs who are descendants of approximately 600,000 Arabs who fled Israel in 1948 and 1967. Islamic Movement leader Sheikh Raad Salah also was featured on the first day of programming.
