(IsraelNN.com) A Canadian citizen has been sentenced to four years in prison for firebombing a Jewish school and planning a second attack. Quebec judge Gilles Cadieux, who presided over the case, said the actions of defendant Azim Ibragimov amounted to terrorism.

Ibragimov, 25, plead guilty to firebombing a Jewish school in 2006, attempting to attack a Hebrew Association building in 2007 and issuing threats in the name of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group. The firebombing caused extensive damage, but students and teachers had left moments earlier and were not hurt.
