According to statistics released now by the Tourism Ministry 2.567 million visitors came to Israel this year, through the end of October, up 36 percent from the same period last year. Of those, 2.2 million stayed for more than a day, up 26 percent over last year, and 394 thousand came on one-day trips.

The phenomenon of one-day trips to Israel started in 2007, and has been developed more fully in the second half of this year.
