Hamas is still committed to keeping its temporary ceasefire with Israel, senior Hamas member Mahmoud Zahar has announced. The announcement came shortly after Gaza terrorists fired several rockets at Israeli towns in the western Negev, causing widespread damage and panic and wounding an elderly woman. Hamas claimed responsibility for some of the attacks.
The temporary ceasefire agreement will end on December 19. Under the terms of the ceasefire, Israel cannot carry out counterterrorism operations in Gaza, and Hamas cannot attack Israel.
