The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service evacuated five people from Sderot to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon following a Kassam strike near the western Negev town on Friday morning. One person suffered light shrapnel wounds. The others were treated for shock.
According to the Associated Press, a Gaza radio station says two of the three wounded by the Israeli Air Force just after the launching of the rockets were members of the Islamic Jihad terror organization. Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Gaza Health Ministry said the air strike was aimed at a Hamas police installation.
