Israel Police have released activist Elisheva Federman following an attempt to her arrest her at her daughter's nursery in Hevron on Monday afternoon.
A crowd of some 50 Jewish women happened to be in the area for an event at the time, and began to demonstrate against the police action, persuading them to back down. She and her husband Noam have each been arrested in recent days, after their home was destroyed by the authorities earlier this month. Police said the home had been built illegally.
Hevron Jews say the police are harassing the Federman family.
