Finance Minister Roni Bar-On slammed Defense Minister Ehud Barak for proposing the government allocate another half billion shekels to fortify buildings in Jewish towns within range of Arab rockets from Gaza. Bar-On suggested that Barak should just stop the Kassams from being fired.

Bar-On phrased a Hebrew soundbite very concisely, "we, the government of Israel, brought Barak with the hope that the State would receive from Barak results (totza'ot). Unfortunately all the state has received from him is added expenses (hotza'ot).
