(IsraelNN.com) Outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert plans to resume indirect negotiations with Syria following four rounds of previous talks, according to unnamed government sources. Turkish and Israeli officials reportedly will meet as early as next week to discuss a date for continuing the talks.

The sticking points are issues of security and questions Syria has asked about the borders of the Golan Heights that Prime Olmert is willing to surrender. The indirect negotiations were suspended in September because of the political instability in Israel.
