Tzachi Vaknin, whose mother Simcha was killed Tuesday in a collision at the Ramot intersection in Jerusalem, said Wednesday that he is not convinced that the collision was accidental. The 19-year-old Arab driver who hit the Vaknin family car may have done so intentionally, he said.
“I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he planned it beforehand, and just waited for his opportunity,” he said. “I really wouldn't be surprised, because how does someone just burst into the road like that?”
At least three Arab residents of Jerusalem have intentionally caused traffic collisions in recent months in order to kill Jews. Three Israelis have been killed in the attacks, and several more have been badly wounded.
