Top Int'l Banks Say Israel Ready As Can Be for Crisis

(IsraelNN.com) At the yearly International Monetary Fund (IMF) World Bank meeting in Washington, officials from Morgan Stanley, the Swiss UBS conglomerate, and the Deutsche Bank commended, on Saturday, the state of Israel's economy to confront the current financial global crisis. The Development Corporation for Israel/State of Israel Bonds had an official described the current preparedness and measures taken to engender fiscal stability in the country.

Israeli bankers, including Bank of Israel Governor Dr. Stanley Fischer, are attending the three day meeting. Dr. Fischer was scheduled to give a speech to one of the forums.
