The Israel Our Home (Yisrael Beiteinu) central committee has declared it is solidly behind "keeping Jerusalem [as] Israel's undivided capital" although chairman Avigdor Lieberman said that he favors ceding several neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem.MK Lieberman explained that there is no contradiction in policies because he does not consider the neighborhoods part of the city.  

 

--Hizbullah is building underground weapons depots in Beirut, according to United Nations official Toni Nissi, head of a U.N.-affiliated non-governmental organization (NGO). He said the terrorist organization is constructing the positions while building homes and shops.

Pro-Hizbullah Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stated Hizbullah will continue to bear arms in southern Lebanon until Israel withdraws from the MountDov area, referred to by Lebanon as Sheeb’a Farm. Berri stated that if Israel does not withdraw from the area, Hizbullah will be compelled to drive her out.

--The Brigham Young University, a Mormon institution often accused of missionary aims, plans to re-open its Jerusalem Center overlooking the Mount of Olives (Har Tzofim). The American-based institution said it haג scheduled to re-open its Jerusalem branch in June but delayed it because of security concerns, which have kept it closed since 2001. Brigham Young encountered fierce opposition when it began building its JerusalemCenter and vowed it is not involved in any missionary activities, which Israel law forbids.
