Israel and Hamas have renewed negotiations for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, the Arab daily A-Sharq il-Awsat reported Saturday. The report said no progress had been made in the talks.
Hamas demands that Israel release all female terrorists imprisoned in Israel, all those under the age of 18, all sick prisoners, and more than 1,000 others. The list of prisoners Hamas hopes to release includes many with “blood on their hands,” meaning they directly participated in terrorist killings.
