(IsraelNN.com) Member of Knesset Uri Ariel (Tekumah/National Union) said on Friday that Arab MK Abbas Zakour (Ra'am Ta'al) instigated Arab rioting in Akko over Yom Kippur. Speaking to Israel National News during a tour of the riot-stricken area, MK Ariel said, "He was one of the first people on the scene, and he made the call for hundreds of Arabs to come to the scene, after which they started destroying cars and stores."

Ariel added, "Though Public Security Minister Avi Dicthter is here, trying to bring quiet, his actions won't help the long-term issues, and can only exacerbate them. Many Arabs simply do not recognize Israeli sovereignty." Joining Ariel were several MK's including delegates from National Union-National Religious Party and Yisrael Beiteinu, accompanied by a heavy police escort.
