Public figures, including police officials, are expected to participate on Sunday, when the Knesset's Internal Affairs Committee holds an urgent meeting to discuss the Jewish-Arab riots that took place during Yom Kippur in Akko. A number of Knesset members have called for a probe of the police response to the outbreak of fighting.
Committee chairman Ophir Pines-Paz said that "it's important to restore the peace in Akko, and we must punish those who behaved violently."
