    Dylan Knocking on Israel's Door

Move over Paul McCartney and make way for Bob Dylan. The '60s hero of modern folk-rock music plans to make his third performance in Israel next June. He last appeared in 1993. Born as Robert Zimmerman, he changed his name to Dylan and turned into a super-star songwriter and performer.

During his search for his roots, he contemplated moving to a kibbutz in Israel but then took a reverse turn and examined Christianity before returning to Judaism and learning with the Chabad movement in Brooklyn. One of his albums includes a picture of the Mount of Olives in eastern Jerusalem. Dylan also attended his son's Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall (Kotel) in the capital.
