Farmer Shai Dromi has registered to run in the election for the Be'er Sheva City Council. He is running on the Greens list.

Dromi became famous when he was put in jail for killing one of a group of Bedouin burglars who had intruded on his property. Other such burglars had robbed his property in the past.
