Sources close to Prime Minister-designate Tzipi Livni reported that the meeting scheduled for Tuesday between the coalition negotiating teams of Kadima and Labor has been postponed. A Kadima source blamed the postponement on Labor and called it unnecessary.
Livni is pursuing her attempt to head a new government coalition instead of going to general elections. Polls have strongly indicated that if the Israeli public were allowed to vote, Kadima might lose its plurality to the Likud party.
