Hareidi-religious parties will meet on Tuesday to agree on a candidate in the upcoming Jerusalem elections. The parties are expected to choose between MK Meir Porush and current Mayor of Jerusalem Uri Lupolianski.
A third hareidi-religious candidate, former Shas head Aryeh Deri, decided not to run following a court ruling ordering him to wait another year before serving as an elected official. The candidate who is chosen Tuesday will have until 9 p.m. to submit his request to enter the election.
