Tunnel operators in Rafiah, the city which straddles the border between Egypt and Gaza, boast they have hundreds of tunnels now, according to France's AFP news agency. AFP reported that one tunnel boss described the ground under Rafiah as a real "Swiss cheese" and warned that an earthquake would collapse most of it.
Arab terrorists use the tunnels to smuggle weapons, ammunition, and fellow terrorists who do not have necessary papers for crossing borders above ground.
