The Beit El Yeshiva website notes a new phenomenon: Dozens of teenagers who wish to become religious, despite lack of support - or worse - from their families.

Rabbi Zalman Baruch Melamed, the yeshiva's founder and dean, and community rabbi of the town of Beit El, explained the phenomenon in his annual Repentance Sabbath lecture to some 500 people this past Sabbath - and told them what they must to do to enhance it.
