90% Not Claiming Their Negative Income Tax Yet

Although the Negative Income Tax law went into effect three weeks ago, only about 7,000 workers have applied for their grants, out of about 70,000 who qualify.
One reason may be the complicated process is involved in submitting an application for assistance, instead of the payment being made based on information which is already in the databases of government offices.
Employees who are paid very low wages may qualify to receive thousands of shekels each year.
