MK Avigdor Lieberman, head of the Yisrael Beiteinu faction, suggested Wednesday that the Labor, Shas and Kadima parties change their names. In a toast for the New Year he told his party activists of a tradition in his home town, according to which people who had suffered bad luck in their lives changed their name on the New Year in order to change their luck. He suggested that Kadima, Labor and Shas do the same and gave ideas for possible changes.
Shas, said, should be renamed Mas ("tax" in Hebrew). Labor should change its name to the Party of Crawlers, and Kadima ("forward" in Hebrew) should be renamed Achora ("backwards").
