Likud: Stop Avoiding the People's Will
Likud party leaders have rejected calls from Kadima head Tzipi Livni to form a unity government. “Likud calls to stop the maneuvering and the attempts to bypass the people's will and to allow the people to decide who will rule them and in what way,” they said.
Leaders in Likud, Yisrael Beiteinu, National Union, and the National Religious Party have called for new general elections. Kadima members should not be allowed to elect a new prime minister without approval from the rest of Israel's voters, they say.
