      ADL: Tutu's Report 'Nonsensical, Outrageous'

The Anti-Defamation League has released a statement criticizing Archbishop Desmond Tutu's recent report on Israel and Gaza as “nonsensical and outrageous.” “Archbishop Tutu's judgment must be so impaired by his bias that he cannot think clearly,” said ADL director Abraham Foxman.

Tutu, a notorious critic of Israel, suggested in his report that Israel had committed war crimes during an operation in Khan Yunis aimed at stopping rocket fire on nearby Jewish towns. He suggested that Gaza Arabs were paying for Europe's feelings of guilt following the Holocaust.

In addition to criticizing Tutu, the ADL slammed the United Nations for choosing Tutu to investigate the Khan Yunis operation. “Once again, the United Nations Human Rights Council has made a mockery of itself by choosing an outspoken critic of Israel to reach a predetermined outcome, rather than selecting an impartial observer,” Foxman said.
