Forty Jewish children from Georgia have arrived in Israel to take part in a summer camp operated by the Jewish agency. The children, ages 12-16, will attend camp for one week.
More than 1,000 Jews left Georgia during its recent war with Russia with the help of the Israeli embassy and local Chabad emissaries. Since the war, Israeli aid groups have been involved in providing food, supplies, and psychological support, while the Israeli government has agreed to treat several wounded Georgians in Israel.
