(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni won the Kadima party leadership election by 431 votes, or one percent of the total votes, according to the final tally certified by the party's election committee. Runner-up, Transportation and Road Safety Minister Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) said he will appeal the results. His camp may challenge the validity of the voting at the polling station in the Bedouin city of Rahat. If its votes are cancelled, Livni's margin of victory will be a single vote.

The number of voters was 38,961, approximately half of the party's membership.
