MK Magali Whbee (Kadima), a supporter of Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in the race for the ruling party's leadership, estimated Wednesday that the non-Jewish members of Kadima will come to vote en masse after the Ramadan fast-breaking 'iftar' meal this evening. He estimated that Livni would be the winner.
Whbee, who coordinates the non-Jewish sector in Livni's headquarters, estimated that about 25 percent of Kadima's Arab, Druze and Circassian members had voted by 6:00 P.M. and said that 60 percent would wind up casting ballots before the voting ends.
14,000 of Kadima's 74,000 members are non-Jews. An unnamed source in the Shefaram polling station told Ynet: "We estimate that the non-Jewish sector will ultimately decide the contest."
