Six makeshift bombs exploded in the Corniche al-Mazraa area of central Beirut overnight on Sunday, according to Lebanese security officials. The explosions damaged cars and shops but did not cause any injuries.
The blasts took place in an area where sectarian clashes took place in May, shortly before an agreement to form a Lebanese unity government. Additional talks on reconciliation are expected to begin Tuesday, including debate on the armament of Hizbullah.
