A Chevra Kadisha burial society representative traveled with Russia's Chief Rabbi Berl Lazar on Sunday to the site of a plane crash which left 88 people dead, including a Jewish family of four. The parents and their two children were residents of Perm, where the aircraft went down.
The Boeing-737 was traveling from Moscow to the Ural Mountains, and went down around 3:40 a.m., Sunday, as it was preparing to land. The cause of the crash is believed to be technical.
Among those killed were citizens from the United States, France, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Latvia.
