(IsraelNN.com) An IDF raid into Syria a week ago reportedly was conducted in order to either take photos of missile installations being built by Iran or to send Syria a message to stop its support of Hizbullah. However, new information indicates that Israel was actually targeting a shipment of nuclear material that had recently arrived from North Korea.

The report, appearing in Saturday's Washington Post, quoted U.S. State Department experts that were said to have received the information from a highlevel source in Israel.

--Syria's ambassador to Washington Imad Moustapha denied that his country had been attacked by Israel, saying that the IAF raid last week over northern Syria was nothing more than a flyover – and that there were no Iranian missiles or North Korean nuclear facilities in the country.

--The Olmert government wants to release as many as 100 terrorists as a "gesture for Ramadan." The prisoners would “have no blood on their hands,” meaning that they were not directly involved in the murder of Jews, but a security source disputed that, saying “this government already released all the 'good' terrorists during the last round of releases."
