Knesset Member Prof. Yitzchak Ben Israel, who is a security advisor to Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, lashed out at Defense Minister Ehud Barak in Be'er Sheva Saturday, calling him a "failed Prime Minister" and the country's worst-ever Defense Minister. MK Ben Israel, who also is chairman of the Israel Space Agency, maintained that Barak was opposed to last year's attack on a nuclear site in northern Syria. His mottos is, "Sit down and do nothing," MK Ben Israel told a cultural forum.

If Foreign Minister Livni wins this coming week's Kadima leadership primaries and forms a new coalition, MK Ben Israel is a candidate to be Defense Minister.
