IDF Takes Guns Away from Two Yitzhar Residents

The IDF took away two rifles from two Yitzhar residents who allegedly used the weapons during retaliation against a nearby village following the stabbing of a nine-year-old Jewish boy by an Arab terrorist, who fled to the village. The terrorist had set fire to one house, whose residents had left for the Sabbath, and began to torch a second building when the boy spotted him and called for help. The boy suffered light wounds when the terrorists stabbed him and escaped.

Yitzhar said that the incident could have been prevented if the army had completed a security fence around the community, but the IDF claimed that Yitzhar officials were supposed to respond following a recent meeting on proposals for the fence.
