Israeli commando forces will train Indian soldiers in counterterrorism, DefenseNews.com said, quoting an agreement ironed out during last week's visit to Israel by Indian army chief General Deepak Kapoor. Israeli soldiers will train the Indians in unnamed locations in India, including jungles and highly populated urban areas.
India also is interested in Israeli arms and surveillance systems. The country is the largest purchaser of Israeli weapons and last week agreed to pay $260 million for 36 Spyder Air Defense systems developed by the Rafael Israel Armaments Industries.
