After weeks of searching and repeated dives into the Yarkon River, police say they appear to have found the body of four-year-old Rose Pizem on Thursday exactly where her grandfather said he had thrown it after murdering the little girl almost four months ago. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the suitcase contained bones, which were being taken to a lab for identification.
Roni Ron confessed to the murder after the authorities were informed that the girl was missing, three months after she was last seen. He said he killed the child, stuffed her body in a suitcase, and then threw it in the Yarkon River. He re-enacted the events for police, showing them exactly where he had committed the crime.
