Iran has instructed Hamas to take over the presidency of the "Palestinian Authority" in Judea and Samaria when Fatah head Mahmoud Abbas's term expires next January, as a prelude to a complete takeover of the PA.
According to Kuwaiti paper Al-Siasa, the demand was conveyed in a recent meeting in Damascus between senior Syrian and Iranian officials and Hamas representatives.
