Pentagon Okays Bombs and Missile Defense for Israel

(IsraelNN.com) The Pentagon has approved a sale to Israel of a defense package that includes upgrading the Patriot missile defense system, 28,000 anti-armor weapons and 1,000 small diameter bombs. The approval coincided with the first-ever Israeli-American high technology forum in nearby Arlington, Virginia.
Israel is hoping the forum will lead towards a relaxation in regulations restricting exports to Israel of defense items that can be used for both civilian and military purposes.
