The Knesset Finance Committee approved a NIS 230 million increase in welfare benefits to Holocaust survivors in Israel on Monday.

The budget increase was approved due to recommendations issued by the Dorner Commission of Inquiry into Assistance of Holocaust Survivors, which was appointed by the government earlier this year.
