MK Zehava Galon of the far-left Meretz party said Sunday that the law regulating the court's ability to strike down legislation "does not regulate the authority" of the courts "but rather castrates it, while completely ignoring the existence of human rights in Israel."
Galon accused Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of "throwing sand in the face of the public" by stating that the law would anchor the court's rights.
